Stained Glass Dream Corset

I wish this one exceeded expectations like most of my LM, but it was the quickest return decision and saddest a LM item has ever made me. If you just want a stretchy strapless see through tube top, this is it. There is no cinching to speak of, the zipper unzips itself because there isn’t a hook eye, the shoulder shawl is forever crooked because it isn’t sewn into the center, and it isn’t even a shoulder strap to actually hold the top up, it’s just a decorative shawl. I waited 4 months for this and was so excited after seeing how beautiful it looked in the photos. I knew being a zip up back with no way to cinch would be a risk, but I have other tops from LM like that and they still fit me well. Aside from the other issues, this top is stretchy beyond belief. That might be a plus for someone else but for me who is an XS waist and hip and a Small/Medium bust, it should not have been LOOSE on my bust, and there isn’t a smaller size to go down to even if I wanted to (which I do NOT). Huge improvements would have been made to this if LM would have simply attached the shoulder shawl to it like a proper strap, and had it sewn to the center so it doesn’t become crooked instantly, and if it wasn’t so stretchy it practically falls off. So those are my qualms. Buy with caution but honestly I wouldn’t.

I have over 250 pieces from LaceMade and never have I known I would return something so quickly as this. What an utter disappointment. First of all, the sleeves are not even shoulder straps. It is just a strapless corset with a shawl attached. And the shawl isn’t even sewn to the center, so it becomes lopsided and crooked no matter what you do. It is also cut to a weird size that it sits very high on the shoulders and wants to ride up more, it does not have the *almost off the shoulder* look as advertised, and the shawl barely covers the bust. Speaking of, it’s COMPLETELY SEE THROUGH. It also fits huge and is ridiculously stretchy for a corset. (Do not be fooled at all, this is NOT a corset). I’m wearing an XS and my bust is much larger than it should fit, and I can fit a whole entire fist inside and then some. The “bones” are a joke and warp horribly. The zipper doesn’t have a hook eye above it and unzips itself because the material is like a rubber band pulling it apart. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this. And LaceMade, do better.
