Recently, a friend of mine shared a story that deeply moved me. It’s a story of courage, resilience, and the unwavering pursuit of dreams. Her name is Candela Gattoni, a 19-year-old from Rosario, Argentina.

  On March 14, 2023, her 18th birthday, Candela stood in front of the German embassy. She did not speak a word of German, yet she applied for her visa with unwavering determination. No one knew about it. No one needed to—only she did.Three days later, her visa was approved, and her flight was scheduled for the following month. When she finally told her family, they thought it was impossible, even believing it was a scam. But Candela knew it wasn’t. She knew her time had come.On April 8, 2023, she arrived in Germany, completely alone. Although she had a host family waiting for her, she understood that everything ultimately depended on her—on her courage, her strength. Because not everyone has the guts to leave everything behind and move across the world at 18 with zero euros.

  From that moment on, Candela’s life changed forever. She became unstoppable, learning to reinvent herself and discovering her true strength.
